A laundry room taken through four stages: an old wood double-hung window removed and the opening framed and drywalled, the patch taped and floated to match the surrounding wall, two stained floating shelves hung off the new framing, and finally a hand-laid thin-brick accent wall behind them.
A sun-faded tan wrought-iron double driveway gate replaced with a matte-black double gate on new posts, plus a matching pedestrian gate alongside it, on the same concrete driveway between existing block pilasters.
An old farmhouse fireplace taken through three stages: the plaster around the firebox stripped and patched, a solid stained mantel shelf set, and finally a full-height thin-brick veneer surround and hearth built around both.
A backyard taken from formed and staked subgrade on red clay to a finished concrete patio with steps, a stone-faced raised edge, a board-clad umbrella base, and a wide walkway with tooled edges, cut control joints and a true radius corner.
Three chunky stained floating shelves mounted on the walls flanking a floor-to-ceiling stacked-stone fireplace, laid out in painter's tape first and installed in an occupied, furnished room.
A failed single-pane aluminium slider replaced with a white vinyl retrofit window set into the existing frame opening, with the stucco patched back and new exterior trim, on a tan stucco house under a tile-roof eave.
A chimney chase re-clad in fibre-cement lap siding with tan corner boards and topped with a custom-fabricated copper shroud, replacing a flat sheet-metal cap that had been holding water directly above the framing.
A small studio accessory dwelling unit finished out with grey-oak laminate plank flooring throughout including a stepped landing, a white shaker kitchenette with granite and stainless appliances, and new baseboard.
